We’re cool. We promise.

You know what it’s like meeting someone for the first time. You’re a little bit shaky, and eager to impress. Well that’s us, the new Board of KZINE, and it’s time for you to meet us. So we’ve cast away our inhibitions, and spent hours in front of our computers trying to cement our status as the coolest kids on the block. But seriously, we’re cool. We promise.

 

Phelan Chatterjee – President

Phelan is an odd hybrid of Londoner and Stockholmer, despite denying any affiliation with the latter. Having not yet mastered the art of quiet conversation, his rambunctious laugh can be heard from the 7th floor choir hideaway to the gym hall. More often than not, you’ll find him listening to Muse, watching re-runs of Dr Who and stressing about school (sometimes all at once). But most importantly, along with Beatrice and a pack of grated cheddar to keep her entertained, he is set on taking KZINE to victory.

Beatrice Krüger – President
Known for her column Study, Party, Sleep – Chose two, Beatrice uses her pen as her sword and is ready to conquer KZINE with her famous sarcastic flair. Between studying math, writing articles and telling people what to do, she enjoys strange cult films, vintage clothes shopping and eating various types of cheese. She hates crumbs, heights and Comic Sans MS. Her perfectionist control freak tendencies means she keeps an eye on everything and everyone (especially Phelan), a talent she intends to use in KZINE’s first ever shared presidency.

Antonia Gertsdotter Melkersson – Editor-in-chief
Antonia är vår nya chefredaktör som sprudlar av energi och kreativitet. När vi inte ser henne susa ner för   Åreskutans pudertäckta baksida hittar vi henne med största sannolikhet uppkrupen i soffan med det senaste   avsnittet av How I Met Your Mother och hennes stickning. Antonia tycker om att äta, särskilt keso som hon till   och med har en båt döpt efter. Hon drömmer om Svalbard och anser att allt blir bäst om hon gör det själv. I Antonias värld är allt orangefärgat och inga petitesser förekommer, hon arbetar stenhårt utifrån mottot ”Age quod agis” – det du gör, gör det väl.
 

Millie von Platen – Vice Editor-in-chief and PR Manager
When she’s not drinking her third pot of favourite tea, Millie believes that there is nothing better than art – whether it be in music, films, painting or of course in writing. From Sofia Coppola to Suzy Menkes, Millie likes to immerse in all things cultural and is therefore excited to make KZINE the best school newspaper yet.

Nicolas Lindberg – Graphic Designer & Webmaster
Nicolas, a happy lad with a great passion for design and aesthetics holds the position of KZINE’s Graphic Designer and Webmaster. He has a thing for details and spends most of his free time running different freelance projects. After 1,5 years of experience in KZINE he’s ready to bring the association to the next level. During the summer he enjoys catching the wind on his windsurfing board. Oh and one last (random) thing: he despises asymmetry.

Henrietta Munter – Photo Manager
Henrietta kallas ofta för ”Mamma Munter” eftersom hon är grym på att baka och ständigt har ett humör som matchar hennes efternamn. Förutom att hon alltid finns där för en, med cupcakes och ett leende på läpparna, är hon även KZINEs bildredaktör. Det är Henrietta som ser till så att det alltid finns bilder till artiklarna och fotografer som täcker skolans event. Är DU sugen på att fota för KZINE? Tveka inte att höra av dig till Henrietta.

Nils Jarlöv – Secretary
Det här är Nils, KZINEs oerhört sexiga sekreterare. Hans jobb är att föra protokoll vid mötena, ha alla t-shirts i sitt skåp och agera som chefredaktören Antonias ouppfostrade och slarviga tonårsflicka. Om du frågar honom själv, kommer han att svara att det egentligen är han som gör allt i KZINE, vilket inte riktigt stämmer men det säger lite om hans personlighet. Med en extremt starkt självkänsla skriver han, bortsätt från i KZINE, också i sin blogg som utmärker sig med att inte ett ord är sant. Dessutom är Nils styrelsens snyggaste medlem och han har en extremt komplicerad relation till kaffe. Till exempel är varannan punkt i styrelsemötenas dagordning KAFFE. Om du skulle erbjuder mjölk eller socker till kaffet kommer han dock publicera en tio sidor lång artikel som förstör alla dina möjligheter att någonsin få ett jobb i framtiden, så gör inte det. Det är inte värt det.

Upasana Dutta – Treasurer
Although she might deny it, Upasana is most commonly found with a book. Who are we kidding, she’ll never deny it. The only book she might possibly deny reading is Twilight because well, it’s Twilight. Apart from that she is a perfectionist who would never consider doing anything without being adequately prepared. She is, strangely enough, a cereal addict and hates candy although chocolate is an exception. Her favorite quote is from The Great Gatsby—”Her voice was full of money.” She has very strong opinions about that sentence and it is oddly appropriate because she’s the treasurer. So if you have any question regarding funding or you just want to know how much money KZINE’s got, she’s the person to ask.
